COOPERSTOWN _ In Otsego County Court Friday, May 30, before Judge Brian Burns, James V. McAdams, 39, of East Worcester, pleaded guilty to first-degree scheme to defraud.

According to court records, the incident occurred in the fall of 2006 in the town of Maryland.

McAdams, who is free on his own recognizance, is scheduled to be sentenced June 20.

Also in court May 30 before Judge Burns:

Dean A. Calamia Sr., 36, of Unadilla, pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.

According to court records, the incident occurred Nov. 24 in the town of Unadilla.

Calamia was jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail to await sentencing June 20.

John O. Dibble, 42, of Cherry Valley, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated.

According to court records, the incident occurred June 9, 2007 in the village of Cherry Valley.

Dibble is scheduled to be sentenced June 20.

Darby R. Canfield, 17, of Fly Creek, was sentenced to five years probation and six months in jail for third-degree burglary.

According to court records, the incident occurred Nov. 22 in the town of Hartwick.

Canfield was assessed a $270 surcharge and crime victims' fee and a $50 DNA fee.

Larry E. Smith, 58, of Springfield, pleaded guilty to third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine.

According to court records, the incident occurred July 13 in the town of Springfield.

Smith, who is free on a $5,000 bail bond, is scheduled to be sentenced June 20.

Tammy L. George, 40, of Cherry Valley, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated.

According to court records, the incident occurred Sept. 1 in the village of Cherry Valley.

George, who is free on $1,000 bail, is scheduled to be sentenced at a later date.

Melissa A. Muessig, 27, of Hobart, was sentenced to five years probation and time served in jail for fourth-degree grand larceny.

According to court records, the incident occurred Oct. 1 in the town of Oneonta.

Muessig was assessed a $270 surcharge and crime victims' fee and a $50 DNA fee.
