June 13, 2009 04:00 am SANFORD _ A Deposit man was found dead Friday in what state police believe is a drowning death. Richard G. Marko, 67, was found by boaters to be floating in Oquaga Lake in Sanford, according to state police at Deposit, who responded at about 10:35 a.m. Marko was removed from the water, a media release said, and 911 was contacted. Marko was transported to Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City and pronounced dead. The investigation is continuing, state police said, and they have received assistance from the Deposit Volunteer Fire Department.
