Hearing for drug charge postponed

COOPERSTOWN _ In Otsego County Court on Friday before Judge Brian Burns, Erik J. Smith-Signor appeared on a charge of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, cocaine.

An arraignment was not completed that day because he was not accompanied by an attorney.

According to court records, the incident occurred June 12 in the city of Oneonta. Bail was set at $15,000, and he is scheduled to return to court Sept. 5.

รค Xavier Collier, 16, of Johnson City, pleaded innocent at arraignment to charges of third-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny and third-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Collier posted $4,000 bail and is scheduled to return to court Sept. 5.

In state Supreme Court in Otsego County on Aug. 21, before Justice Michael Coccoma, Edward Ostrander, 36, of Frankfort, pleaded innocent at arraignment to five counts of third-degree burglary.

According to court records, the incidents occurred Feb. 6 in Springfield.

Ostrander posted $2,500 bail and is scheduled to return to court Oct. 1.

In state Supreme Court in Otsego County on Aug. 18 before Coccoma, Pierre R. Barosy, 28, of Cortland, pleaded innocent at arraignment to charges of first-degree burglary, second-degree burglary and second-degree assault.

According to court records, the incident occurred April 6 in the city of Oneonta.

Barosy was jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail and is scheduled to return to court Oct. 7.
