COOPERSTOWN _ In Otsego County Court on Oct. 19 before Judge John Lambert, Jesse J. Miller, 20, of Springfield Center, pleaded innocent at arraignment to a charge of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, cocaine.

According to court records, the incident occurred March 6 in the village of Richfield Springs.

Miller was jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail and is due back in court Dec. 7.

Also in court before Judge Lambert on Oct. 19:

Patrick J. Souffrant, 34, of Davenport, pleaded innocent at arraignment to a charge of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

According to court records, the incident occurred Sept. 12 in Otego.

Souffrant was jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail and is due back in court Dec. 7.

Christopher Otto, 37, no address available, pleaded innocent at arraignment to charges of third-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny and driving while intoxicated.

According to court records, the grand larceny and burglary occurred in the city of Oneonta and the DWI in Unadilla, all April 1.

He was jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail and is due back in court Nov. 23.

John C. Cooper, 35, pleaded innocent at arraignment to two counts of first-degree criminal contempt and one of second-degree burglary.

According to court records, the criminal-contempt incidents occurred Aug. 7 and Oct. 4 in the city of Oneonta and the burglary Oct. 4 in the city of Oneonta.

Cooper was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court Dec. 7.

In Otsego County Court on Oct. 16 before Judge Brian Burns, Lori-Sue Barnes, 35, of Oneonta, pleaded innocent at arraignment to a charge of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.

According to court records, the incident occurred June 22 in the city of Oneonta.

Barnes was jailed in lieu of $2,500 bail and is scheduled to return to court Dec. 4.

Also in court before Judge Burns:

Mark A. Santiago, 31, of Bay Shore, was sentenced to seven years in prison with two years of post-release supervision for third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, cocaine.

He had pleaded guilty Aug. 17.

In addition to the prison term, Santiago was assessed $320 in court fees.

Lawrence A. Painter Jr., 20, of Burlington Flats, was sentenced to 12 years in prison and two years of post-release supervision for first-degree attempted assault.

Painter, who pleaded guilty Sept. 10, had scalded a young child with hot water.

He was ordered to pay $375 in court fees.

Troy A. Dunkley, 30, of Oneonta, was sentenced to five years in prison and two years of post-release supervision for third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, cocaine.

He had pleaded guilty July 10.

He was ordered to pay $375 in court fees.

Danajohn A. Britton, 30, of Sidney, was sentenced to 11/2-to-41/2 years in prison for driving while intoxicated.

On Sept. 1, he was found guilty of two counts of DWI.

He was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and $520 in court fees.
