DELHI _ The Delhi Police Department is investigating counterfeit $5, $10 and $20 bills that have been circulated in Delhi.

Police are warning area residents and businesses to be cautious and examine bills during cash transactions.

Police suggest comparing a suspect note with a genuine note of the same denomination and series, paying attention to the quality of printing. Look for differences, not similarities, they said.

People who discover a counterfeit bill are asked to call police at 746-2249 and provide details about the person who passed them the bill.
