A Morris couple were arrested late last month for possessing nearly two pounds of marijuana at their Morris residence.
Efren U. Rivera, 41, and Aleatha J. Rivera, 38, were charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child. Efren was also charged with unlawfully growing of cannabis by an unlicensed person.
Earlier in October, deputies received information about suspicious activity at the residence. After a three-week investigation, a narcotics search warrant was obtained from Morris Town Court for the residence, garage and property.
The two were both arraigned in Morris Town Court and released on their own recognizance to appear at a later this month. They face up to 2½ years in prison if convicted.
