---- — A decision to bring a proposed $4.6 million Oneonta City School District capital building project to voters was tabled at the Oct. 24 school board meeting, District Clerk Eileen Lishansky said.

After a presentation by Paul Bedford, an architect with Keystone Associates of Binghamton, board members decided they wanted time to review the proposed work and could decide the issue at their Wednesday board meeting. If they decide to proceed with the work, it could go before voters Jan. 8.

The plan called for necessary work to the school’s three elementary schools (not including the former Center Street School Elementary), as well as the middle and high school, Interim Superintendent David Rowley previously said. This included district-wide technology improvements. It would also improve security systems and video surveillance at school buildings. Other work includes drainage improvements behind the middle/high school.
