The construction management program at the State University College at Delhi has won a boost in the form of a $100,000 grant from the National Association of Home Builders.
The grant will allow the school to establish a Residential Construction Management concentration at the campus. Among incoming construction majors, 75 percent say they have a strong interest in residential construction.
“This grant, combined with our outstanding faculty, will help us meet the needs of our students and the needs of the residential construction industry, the cornerstone of our economy,” Delhi campus President Candace S. Vancko said in a statement.
The new funding will help expand industry partnerships with the goal of providing students access to a wide selection of internships and job opportunities, officials said.
