Fire leaves seven homeless

A fire at a residence at Lantern Hill Mobile Home Park left seven people homeless, Oneonta Fire Department Capt. Tom DiMartin said. A cause has not been determined. The call for the fire at Lot 47 came shortly after 1:30 p.m., he said. There were seven people living there, nobody was injured, he said. The trailer was destroyed. The names were not available from the department Wednesday evening, he said. The department had 21 firefighters at the scene. Mutual aid was provided by Pindars Corners, Otego and West Oneonta Fire departments.

The American Red Cross was also at the scene, he said.
