A New Lisbon parolee was arrested again Wednesday on numerous charges stemming from a January search of his property that yielded a pharmacopeia of drugs, as well as guns, stolen goods and an untagged deer.
Charles O’Brian Hall, 25, of East Turtle Lake Road in Edmeston was charged with three felony and one misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance, as well as criminal possession of a weapon and criminally using drug paraphernalia.
Officials began investigating Hall in late December after a call to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Department tip line suggested that drug trafficking activity was taking place at Hall’s home. Since Hall was on parole from a previous felony drug possession charge, parole and probation officers assisted with the investigation.
On Jan. 9, officials seized cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, Suboxone films, liquid steroids, prescription painkillers, heroin, amphetamines and marijuana, as well as scales and baggies, from Hall’s home. Misty Dawn Mojica, 31, of South New Berlin, who was visiting Hall at the time of the raid, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
Stolen goods connected with a burglary at the nearby Jellystone campground, and an untagged female deer, were also recovered. The state Department of Environmental Conservation police issued Hall a ticket for the deer.
Hall was arraigned in New Lisbon Town Court and remanded to the county jail on $25,000 bail. If convicted, he faces up to 12 years in prison because of his previous felony conviction.
