Man charged with theft from restaurant
A town of Hartwick fast-food restaurant manager was arrested Friday for allegedly stealing $7,272 in August from the restaurant, Otsego deputies said.
Garrett Robert Johnson, 23, of Cooperstown, was charged with third-degree grand larceny, deputies said. Following a four month investigation, it was determined that Johnson failed to make several bank deposits, deputies said.
He was released on his own recognizance to appear in Otsego Town Court at a later date. He faces up to seven years in prison if convicted.
