---- — The Greater Oneonta Historical Society is leading a drive to bring shoppers downtown this week, reviving a tradition from years gone by when Main Street shops would stay open late on Thursday nights.
Several downtown shops will add evening hours on Thursday this week to lure holiday shoppers. The Artisans Guild, Dietz & Wall Wines, Edward Teleky Jewelers, GOHS History Center, Liberty Tree Chocolates, Printigree, Shakedown Street and Theresa’s Emporium will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. Artware, Green Toad Bookstore, Maxwell’s Other Side, McLaughlin’s and McLaughlin’s Shoes and the recently opened Museum Skate Shop are regularly open until 7 p.m., and many will stay open until on Thursday.
The History Center will be open as well, with Lynn and Dale Price selling vintage button rings.
