---- — State police will join other law enforcement agencies statewide to crackdown on impaired, distracted and drunken driving this Super Bowl weekend, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo said in a media release earlier this week.
The statewide STOP-DWI and Texting-While-Driving Crackdown efforts started Friday and will run through Monday. This effort builds on the governor’s State of the State initiatives to stop repeat drunken drivers and prevent youth texting-while-driving to make roads safer, the release said.
