Winter Carnival provides local fun

The winner of the Tanya Harding Chicken Wing Contest for the Best Business was Cooley’s.

The winner of the Coloring Contest for ages 0 to 3 was Katelyn Macias. The winner for ages 4 to 7 was Emily Doi, and for ages 8 to 12 was Maleah Brockington.

The winners of the coveted Medallion Hunt were Mike and Michelle Gage. The medallion was found Sunday morning at 3-mile-point, Korsch said.

Raffle prizes were also awarded, including a figure skating bear from Dot’s Creations to Remi Misiewicz. She also won a gift certificate to the Hawkeye Grill. Judith Barton won a Winter Carnival Fleece. Maureen Parsons won a gift certificate to Alex and Ika. Randy Reckeweg won one free month of unlimited Cross Fit and Carol Walker won the $300 cash prize.

In closing, Leveille and Korsch thanked the local businesses for their support.

“I really want to thank the Cooperstown community,” Leveille said. “We have really great businesses. We want to make sure February is as delightful as June.”
