An informational workshop and meeting on Agenda 21 and property rights will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Guilford Town Hall.
Agenda 21 is a United Nations action plan regarding sustainable development in the 21st century. The workshop will feature a multimedia presentation by Jane Stebela, regional coordinator of New Yorkers for Property Rights for the Southern Tier region. The meeting is coordinated by Gilda Ward of Mount Upton, who is the Chenango County captain of New Yorkers for Property Rights.
According to a media release, the workshop will look at the common threads between the threats to individual rights presented by Agenda 21, the Common Core curriculum and threats to Second Amendment rights.
The town hall is at 223 Marble Road, off county Route 35 outside Guilford Center. The meeting will include a question-and-answer session, and refreshments will be served. For more information, call Ward at 764-8303.
