Three people were arrested on drug-possession charges at about 9:30 p.m. Friday after a search warrant was executed, Oneonta city police said, and 70 to 90 small packets of heroin were seized.
Kathryn Gorman, 29, of Oneonta, and Ian Barbar, 29, of New York City, were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, police said. They were arraigned Saturday in Oneonta City Court and bail was set at $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond, police said.
Gorman and Barbar remained in Otsego County jail on Sunday night, a jail official said.
Also Friday night, Richard Gormandy, 51, of Oneonta, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, possession of a hypodermic instrument and failure to obey a court order, police said. Gormandy, who also allegedly possessed heroin, was released.
The arrests were the result of a narcotics investigation, police said, and the warrant was executed at 16 Division St., the residence of Gorman and Gormandy.
