Bust nets 130 bags of heroin

---- — Delaware County deputies arrested a local woman and her daughter, and a Syracuse man, Thursday night on felony drug charges and confiscated 130 bags of heroin from a Bloomville residence. 

Sheriff’s investigators charged Tammy Lee Fairbairn, 46, Nakota Lame, 20, both of Bloomville, and Alamin McMillon, 26, of Syracuse, with one count each of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, a media release said.

The defendants are accused of possessing heroin with the intent to sell and may face additional charges, deputies said. The arrests were made after an investigation by members of the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.

Investigators, deputies and K-9 “Ozzie,” assisted by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit and members of the state police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at the home of Tammy Fairbairn in the hamlet of Bloomville. Authorities seized of 130 bags of heroin, about $1,100 in cash and Public Assistance Benefit Cards, the release said.

The defendants were arraigned before Kortright Town Justice Yvonne Pagillo and were sent to the Delaware County jail.

Fairbairn and Lame were each held in lieu of $20,000 cash bail, and McMillon was held in lieu of $30,000 cash bail, deputies said.

Deputies said they continue efforts to identify, arrest and prosecute anyone responsible for trafficking drugs throughout Delaware County.
