Final tally: Incumbent keeps supervisor seat

A final count of paper ballots has determined that Middletown Town Supervisor Marjorie Miller was re-elected, edging Republican Nelson Delameter by 10 votes.

When machine ballots were counted on Election Day, Delameter was clinging to a 22-vote lead over Miller, a Democrat.

The final results certified by the Delaware County Board of Elections had Miller with 523 votes to 513 for Delameter

Middletown is the fourth largest township in Delaware County. The town includes the village of Margaretville.

Miller has been an advocate for making county government more transparent. The Delaware County Board of Supervisors is controlled by Republicans.
