Voters in the Worcester Central School District will go to the polls Wednesday to decide the fate of a proposition to sell a parcel of land.
Polls are open from noon until 8 p.m. in the entrance lobby near the visitors parking lot.
According to a newsletter, the proposition stems from contact a developer for Family Dollar had with the school about a year ago. It calls for selling 1.5 acres land that is not being used by the district for $200,000. If approved, the funds will allow the district to return to long-term fiscal stability. The board has discretion on how to use the funds but the long-term fiscal health is a priority, the newsletter said.
