Three Sherburne residents have been arrested on drug charges after vehicle chase Oct. 11, Chenango County deputies said.
Deputies in the Narcotics Division tried to stop Steve Manwarren, 46, on Case Road in the town of Sherburne, but he went on to Bingham Collins Road to try eluding authorities, a media release said.
During the pursuit, Randy R. Buck Jr., 27, a passenger, allegedly threw heroin packets from a window, deputies said.
After the vehicle was stopped and the drugs were recovered, the two men were arrested, deputies said.
Also, Kim M. Chlad, 56, was arrested as she tried to discard 60 packets of heroin from her and Manwarren’s residence, deputies said.
According to the release, Manwarren was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and Buck was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence. The men were arraigned and released on recognizance.
Chlad was charged with tampering with physical evidence and issued a ticket to appear in court, deputies said.
