A woman who falsely reported threats at Walton Central School last year was sentenced to 1-3 years in jail for violating the terms of her probation in Delaware County Court on Monday, District Attorney Richard Northrup said.
Jennifer Morris, 28, had served a sentence after pleaded guilty to falsely reporting an incident in September in which she warned on Facebook that there would be an explosion at Walton Central School, Northup said. She was sentenced to six months in jail and five years probation.
As part of her probation, Morris was not allowed to have an electronic device that would allow her access to the Internet, Northrup said. But in January, Morris was charged with accessing a social media site on a cell phone. She pleaded guilty to the charge and had been held in county jail without bail since.
