---- — A Cobleskill man was arrested Monday after he allegedly burglarized a local restaurant two different times in 2013, state police said.
State police at Cobleskill arrested Andrew P. Harte, 48, for two counts of third-degree burglary, a felony. Troopers said a burglary was reported in June 2013 at a Cobleskill restaurant called “A Taste of Europe,” located on state Route 145. Forced entry was gained into the restaurant from which alcohol was stolen, an investigation revealed.
Two months later, troopers said, on Labor Day weekend, the business reported a second break-in. This time, food items were stolen.
After a ten-month investigation, Harte was charged with burglary and arraigned in the Cobleskill Town Court, troopers said.
He was sent to the Schoharie County Correctional Facility on $7,500 cash bail or $15,000 secured bond. Troopers said Harte is to return to court at a later date.
