Reward offered in NBT heist case

NBT Bank has announced that it is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for original information leading to the apprehension, arrest and conviction of anyone involved in a robbery of the bank’s Sharon Springs office on Wednesday.

A lone thief, wearing a hood and displaying what a teller said she thought was a firearm, got away with thousands of dollars in the daylight robbery, according to state police.

To provide information, call 226-0509. The bank said all information will be kept confidential.
