COOPERSTOWN - A 47-year-old Richfield Springs man is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 15 following his conviction this week by an Otsego County jury on six counts of third-degree criminal sexual act.
Kamp allegedly had illicit sexual contact on multiple occasions with a teenage girl during the summer of 2012, said District Attorney John Muehl, who prosecuted the case. The jury convicted Kamp on all counts following a week-long trial before Judge Brian D. Burns.
Kamp faces up to 24 years in prison when he is sentenced, according to the district attorney’s office. He will also be placed on the state’s Sex Offender Registry.
The victim was less than 17 years of age at the time of the incidents, authorities said.
