Worcester votes down sale of school land|

Voters in the Worcester Central School District defeated a proposition Wednesday by a vote of 300-155 to sell a 1.5-acre parcel of land to a developer for Family Dollar, Superintendent William Diamond said.

The price was $200,000.

“The voters have spoken,” Diamond said, adding that regardless of the outcome the board of education wanted the voters to make the decision.
