Two juveniles have been issued desk appearance tickets, accusing them of making terroristic threats at Delaware Academy Central School.
The district contacted the Delhi Police Department on Thursday after what was described as a non-specific, threatening message was found in a textbook, police said.
Police officers, assisted by district staff members, the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, the state police and the District Attorney’s Office, investigated the alleged threat and issued the tickets to the two juveniles, the police department said in a media release. The tickets refer the youths, whose names were not released by police, to the Delaware County Probation Department.
Police said that students and staff were not in danger at any time.
