---- — A Hobart man convicted by a jury in October of operating as a major drug trafficker and other related charges was sentenced Wednesday in Otsego County Court, according to a media release from the Otsego County District Attorney John Muehl.
The sentence was as follows the release said: Dante D. Major, 36, was sentenced to 20 years to life and a $100,000 fine for operating as a major drug trafficker, a class A-1 felony; 15 years with five years of post-release supervision and a $100,000 fine on the charge of first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; and 10 years imprisonment with three years of post-release supervision and a $30,000 fine on each of two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. All sentences are to run consecutively.
