A Smithville man has been charged with felony criminal mischief in connection with incidents in September, Oneonta police said.
Ryan P. Young, 18, was charged Saturday with two counts of third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, and one count of fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, police said.
Young is accused causing damages to the door of At Home Care on Elm Street, which had to be replaced at a cost of about $1,000, and to a car mirror, police said. He also allegedly broke the rear windshield of a car parked near 81 Elm St. and damaged a seat inside, causing repair costs of more than $1,000, police said.
Young, who police said is a student at the State University College at Oneonta, was released pending appearance in court.
