Thomas King, president of the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, will be the featured speaker Tuesday at a meeting of Citizen Voices at the Elks Club in Oneonta.
King, a board member of the National Rifle Association, is an outspoken opponent of gun control. A media release from Citizen Voices describes him as “an experienced lobbyist, political consultant and media spokesman/debater — a vigorous, no-compromise advocate for the right to keep and bear arms, defending the Second Amendment on national media outlets such as ‘Fox & Friends,’ ‘The Lehrer Report,’ National Public Radio and the Wall Street Journal.”
The event is open to the public, but reservations are requested. They can be made via email at CitizenVoices@hotmail.com.
Citizen Voices describes itself as a pro-business, pro-growth organization “bringing us all together to find common ground.”
