Santa Claus to come to several area towns

Dinner sponsored by the Franklin Central School senior class will be available at the school from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Lasagna with all the fixings is $7.50 for adults and $4.00 for children. Gift baskets will be auctioned off and DJ Potter and A Company of Three will provide the entertainment.

Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will arrive at the Franklin Town Park on Main Street at 6 p.m. to light the tree. They will greet the children, and then be available at the fire house for pictures, snacks, and holiday craft activities.

In Oneonta, Main Street Oneonta is sponsoring the Christmas tree lighting ceremony from 5-8 p.m. Thursday. The tree lighting is at 6 p.m. Visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, horse-drawn wagon rides, live reindeer, dancers, and refreshments will be available. The winners of the Gingerbread contest will be announced.
