The Terpsichorean Dance Company, the State University College of New York at Oneonta’s dance club, did well at a recent competition at SUNY Cortland, club President Erica Brooks said. Thirty-seven students participated, competing against clubs from SUNY Cortland, Hartwick College and Lock Haven University.

Like their peers from Hartwick, mentioned in a Friday story in The Daily Star, this was something new for the club and “it was a lot of fun,” she said.

SUNY Oneonta’s winners included:

First place

Jazz — choreographers Taylor Walsh,Text ColorSwatch/NoneStrokeStyle/$ID/SolidText ColorSwatch/NoneStrokeStyle/$ID/Solid$ID/NothingText ColorText Color$ID/NothingText ColorText Color Bee Doris and Grace Kolba.

Contemporary and overall — choreographer Gabi Gregoris.

Open — choreographers Kay Trager and Amanda Gortler.

Second place

Jazz — choreographers Stephanie Bradshaw and Victoria Karam.
