---- — A culvert replacement project will begin today on Flax Island Road, about 2.5 miles north of state Route 7 in Otego, officials said.
Construction will take about 60 days, according to J.R. Hurlburt, town highway superintendent.
Traffic will be detoured onto Haney Road for by-pass of the construction, and local traffic will be permitted at far as 652 Flax Island Road.
All local traffic must use the Haney Road detour, officials said.
