Two Binghamton area residents have been arrested in connection with a robbery at a store in Afton on Thursday, state police at Binghamton said.
Scott G. Frost, 28, and Arianna M. Michalski, 22, were charged Friday with first-degree robbery, a felony, troopers said in a medi a release.
Troopers said the defendants were arrested after a reported armed robbery with a knife at the Xtra-Mart at 205 Main St. in the town of Afton at about 2 a.m. Thursday.
They allegedly stole property and an undetermined amount of cash from the clerk at the store before fleeing, troopers said.
The defendants were apprehended at the Super 8 Motel in Kirkwood and arraigned in Afton Village Court, the release said.
Frost was sent to Chenango County Jail without bail, and Michalski was sent to the jail in lieu of $25,000 bail, troopers said, and the investigation continues.
