Week in Review: Amphenol to move plant


In sports: Hall of Famers Goose Gossage and Phil Niekro will serve as team captains for the fifth annual Hall of Fame Classic on May 25 at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown.


The ongoing investigation that resulted in charges being filed against the then-president of the Otsego County Chamber in 2011 led to the arrest of a Westchester County man Tuesday, according to a media release from the state Department of Financial Services.

In sports: In the spring of 2010, Oneonta High sophomores Sean Getman, Conor Youngs and Mike Calkins helped the Yellowjackets to a 12-10 baseball season.

Last spring, those three, along with a host of other seniors, were holding a plaque commemorating OHS’ Class B state championship.

It would appear Yellowjackets coach Joe Hughes is about to partake on another three-year plan.


Gov. Andrew Cuomo has alienated many New York voters by aggressively pushing through controversial gun control legislation and will be “vulnerable” should he opt to run for re-election next year, Rep. Chris Gibson, R-Kinderhook, said Thursday.

In sports: Unadilla Valley played baseball to the bitter end Thursday.

The Storm failed to get an out in the seventh inning, allowing three runs on two errors, a triple and a wild pitch for a 4-3 season-opening loss to Midstate Athletic Conference host Greene.
