An East Meredith man was arrested Thursday in connection with recent robberies in the Oneonta area, state police at Oneonta said.
Johnathan R. Lynn, 23, was charged with second-degree robbery involving displaying a handgun, troopers said. He was arraigned in Oneonta Town Court and returned to Delaware County jail on $10,000 cash and $20,000 bond bail, troopers said.
Lynn is accused in robberies at Arby’s Restaurant and Convenience Express, both in the town of Oneonta.
In both cases, witnesses said a masked man showed a note saying that he had a gun, previous reports said. The clerk at the Convenience Express said he saw a gun tucked into the man’s pants, but no gun was during the incident at Arby’s.
Lynn previously was charged with attempted robbery in connection with an incident at Otsego Auto Crushers and was being held in the Delaware jail on that charge, troopers said.
