The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Cortland man recently after he allegedly stole more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from the Norwich Walmart.
Richard L. Small, 38, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and fifth-degree conspiracy on June 16 at about 1:30 p.m., according to Chenango County Sheriff’s deputies.
Small and three other individuals allegedly took more than $1,000 worth of Walmart items on June 4, deputies said.
Deputies did not say whether the other three individuals were caught.
Small was arraigned in the Town of Norwich court and is being held on $1,000 cash bail, deputies said. He is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Norwich Court at a later date.
