Memorial Day services for Worcester will be held Monday with assembly at Worcester Central School at 9:30 a.m. The parade will commence at 10 a.m.
In the event of inclement weather the program will be held in the gym at Worcester Central School.
Services will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
There will be a salute to the colors and raising of the flag, with the Worcester Central School bugler. Invocation will be by the Rev. Ronald Lee Green. The national anthem, will be performed by the Worcester Central School band led by Andrew O’Dell. Prayer will be by Worcester Fire Department Chaplain Norman Chase.
The Daughters of the American Revolution East Worcester Fire Department and Worcester Fire Department will place a wreath for veterans. The speaker will be a Marine. The Gettysburg Address will be presented by Cody Norton. “America” will be performed by Worcester Central School band. Taps and Echo will be done by Worcester Central School Buglers. Retreat and the lowering of colors will be done as a Worcester Central School bugler plays. Benediction will be given by Green.
Members of the parade will then regroup and march back to bank memorial on Main Street.
There will be a salute to the colors, with a school bugler. Prayer will be led by the American Legion Auxiliary chaplain, and the auxiliary will place a memorial wreath. “This Is My Country,” will be performed by the Worcester Central School Band. A rifle salute will be given by the Worcester American Legion Rifle Squad. A Worcester Central School bugler will play taps.
After the Main Street ceremony, the parade will regroup and march back to the school.
