Outlaws, mayor to bid Baldwins farewell

(Continued)

Others involved in planning the event include Teressa Sivers of the First United Methodist Church, Rev. Judy Thistle, A.O. Fox Hospital chaplain, Paul Patterson of the Oneonta Rotary Club, Len Carson of the Veterans Club and Chris Kuhn of the Job Corps Center.

Miller said he has developed a friendship over the years with Ken Baldwin as they worked to keep a baseball team in Oneonta and in various capacities at Foothills. He knew that other organizations might want to do their own thing for the couple, but “this was a chance for a community-wide event.”

Pindar said it’s a “thrill” for the Oneonta Outlaws to participate. For as long as he can remember Baldwin has been “a loyal fan” of whatever team called the stadium home.

“It’s going to be a tremendous night,” as long as the weather cooperates, he said.
