The Oneonta Town Board will consider adopting a road-use law and have a public hearing on an application for a state grant during a meeting at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Supervisor Robert Wood said.
The town is applying for a grant under the state’s Consolidated Funding Application to request money for the proposed Southside Water District, Wood said. An update on income surveys being taken in connection with the project will be given, he said.
Separately, the town is applying for another state grant for a proposed project to alleviate water problems at Westgate Plaza, Wood said.
The board had a public hearing on the road-use law last month.
The law would require parties responsible for construction that would generate traffic likely to cause damage or require improvements to town highways to ensure such upgrades are made, according to the proposal, and that such work or repairs would be at the parties’ expense.
The meeting will be at Town Hall in West Oneonta.
