Tea Party group to host Norwich rally
A traveling exhibit called the “Fallen Stars Memorial Mural,” honoring each of the New York state soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, will be on display today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at East Side Park in Norwich in conjunction with a “Celebrating Our Independence Rally.”
The rally is sponsored by the Norwich Tea Party Patriots. The traveling memorial was created by Ray Lenarsic, who will be one of the speakers at the rally. Among the speakers will be James Sacco, a constitutional attorney from Vestal; Jim Losie, owner of Losie’s Gun Shop in Oneonta; Pat Page, a conservative and Tea Party activist, and Kelly Citron, the New York representative for PANDA.
Another feature of the rally in honor of Independence Day will be a public reading of the Declaration of Independence, signed on July 4, 1776.
East Side Park is located on the corner of North Broad Street (State Rt. 12) and East Main Street in downtown Norwich, across the street from the Chenango County Courthouse.
