Sidney man charged in heroin sale
A Sidney man was arrested Tuesday for selling heroin in the city of Oneonta in July 2012, Otsego deputies said. Ian Lee Borowski, 35, was arrested for third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony.
Deputies were assisted in the investigation last summer by Oneonta police.
On Tuesday, Sidney police located Borowski in that village and took him into custody, deputies said. Otsego deputies arrested him on a sealed indictment warrant issued by the Otsego county grand jury. He was arraigned Wednesday and sent to Otsego county jail on $20,000 bail. If convicted, he faces up to 12 years in prison on the drug sale charge due to a previous felony conviction, deputies said.
