---- — Firefighters reported to a house afire from a lightning strike, Otsego County dispatchers said late Monday night.
Crews responded to a 6:49 p.m. call about a blaze at 370 Mittlesdorf Road in the town of New Lisbon, which is in the Garrattsville fire district, dispatchers said.
Garrattsville and Edmeston ambulances were at the scene, but no injuries were reported, dispatchers said.
Calls to the Garrattsville Fire Company late Monday night resulted in busy signals.
Morris, Edmeston, West Edmeston and Pittsfield fire crews provided mutual aid and were reporting back in service at their stations at about 9:15 p.m., dispatchers said.
Storms with heavy rains passed through the region Monday, causing some road closures from flooding, dispatchers said.
In Otsego County, flooding was reported at the intersections of county route 8 and 10 in the town of Morris with some significant road damage and at least temporary road closures, dispatchers said.
Otsego County, Route 12 near the intersection with Myers Mills Road in the town of New Lisbon was closed, dispatchers said at about 9:30 p.m.
In Chenango County, water was across portions of state Route 80 in Columbus, dispatchers said, and the road was re-opened by late Monday night. Flooded road sections also were reported on county Route 18 in South New Berlin and county Route 4 in Morris, dispatchers said.
Some standing water and water in basements was reported in the city of Oneonta near construction sites, fire department officials said late Monday, and crews were responding.
Delaware County dispatchers said no major problems had been reported as of late Monday.
