Week in Review: Chamber honors auto dealer, Brooks'

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Main Street in Oneonta will be closed off and open only to foot traffic, becoming one big garage sale. More than 100 vendors will be present, selling garage-sale items in addition to handcrafted goods. There will also be a farmers’ market, food and music from the Oneonta Community Concert Band.

In sports: Kailub Russell earned his fourth consecutive victory Sunday, taking the points lead XC1 Pro Class after winning Round 10 of the 13-stop AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series at the Unadilla Valley Sports Center in New Berlin.

Could the threat of doubling the price of milk encourage federal legislators to pass a new Farm Bill? Several people involved in area farming said it might do the trick.

In sports: Brittney Herrick had a match-high 13 kills Thursday, leading undefeated Oneonta High to a 3-0 volleyball sweep of visiting Johnson City in the Southern Tier Athletic Conference. OHS (4-0, 4-0) also received match-bests from Krissy Wells (17 assists) and Annie Nobiling (five aces) during its 25-6, 25-14, 25-18 triumph.
