---- — The local tradition of communal Thanksgiving meals will continue this year. Here are some of the community meals that will be served Thursday:
The 28th annual Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner will take place from noon to 3 p.m. at the Delhi Fire Hall at 140 Delview Terrace Extension. This tradition is sponsored annually by the congregations of the Delhi Clergy Association, and hosted this year by Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Food and supplies for the meal are donated by local businesses and church congregations.
Delivery is also available, by reservation only. To make a reservation for the dinner, or to request a delivery, contact the Rev. John Priest at 746-2098 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The annual community Thanksgiving dinner will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Elks Club on Chestnut Street. The menu will include traditional turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, vegetables, bread and rolls, beverages and desserts.
Pies and breads may be donated by calling Mary Southern at 988-7434. Southern is also coordinating volunteers, who will help prepare and serve the meal, deliver meals and clean up.
To arrange for transportation to the dinner or to have a meal delivered, call Aileen Farago at 433-1571.
Schoharie County’s 25th annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be served at 1 p.m. at the Days Inn (the former Holiday Inn Express) in Schoharie. Reservations are requested, and transportation and delivery can be arranged, by calling the Office for the Aging at (518) 295-2001.
The Walton Free Thanksgiving Dinner will be served from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the First Congregational Church at the corner of North and Mead streets in Walton. Takeouts can be arranged by calling 865-4066.
