A Utica man has been arrested on a sealed indictment in connection with heroin trafficking, Delaware County deputies said in a media release.
Sylvester Dorvil, 31, was charged Thursday with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony, for allegedly selling heroin in the village of Walton on at least one occasion earlier this year, deputies said.
Dorvil was arraigned in Delaware County court and sent to the Otsego County jail, where he is being held on other charges.
Dorvil’s arrest comes at the conclusion of a five-month investigation involving multiple suspects, the release said. Delaware deputies were assisted in the investigation by the Delaware County Probation Department, the Walton Police Department, the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office and state police.
