Irving Place occupancy issue before board tonight
Occupancy and zoning issues at 10 Irving Place again are on the agenda of the Zoning and Housing Board of Appeals, which meets in Oneonta City Hall at 7 p.m. today.
Brody Smith, attorney for property owner Robert Martella, seeks a code interpretation. The attached garage has been converted into two bedrooms and the third-floor attic into one bedroom without first obtaining a building permit from the Code Enforcement Office, the agenda said. Occupancy by more than three unrelated individuals also is under review.
The 10 Irving Place matter was tabled in October to allow Smith to research zoning details about the property.
Also on today’s agenda, Eric Fleischer is requesting a variance to use the owner-occupied single-family dwelling at 20 Walling Ave. as a short-term rental.
