An Oneonta man was charged Monday with selling crack cocaine on two occasions last year, Otsego County deputies said.
Marcquiec Jay Okundaye, 24, of 9 Lewis Ave., was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony, deputies said in a media release. He was arraigned in Otsego County Court before Judge John F. Lambert and sent to county jail on $25,000 bail.
Okundaye, who recently was indicted by an Otsego County grand jury on the drug sale charges, was being held on $750 bail on a misdemeanor drug possession charge when members of the sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division arrested him, the release said.
Okundaye was accused of selling drugs in the city of Oneonta on separate occasions, the release said, and the Oneonta Police Department Detective Bureau assisted in the investigation.
