Residents and groups interested in the future of Oneonta’s Neahwa and Catella parks may hear an update on master plans Wednesday night.
The Oneonta Parks and Recreation Commission will meet with the LA Group of Saratoga Springs to discuss revisions of the city’s Parks Master Plan. The meeting will be at 5 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers in City Hall at 258 Main St.
City Manager Michael Long said members of the city’s Environmental Board and other organizations may be present, and public advice is sought as the city considers and develops projects.
Some proposals have been walkways through the parks, a redesign of the entrance to Neahwa Park from Market Street and signage to better guide visitors, Long said. As details develop, the city may apply for grants to fund projects, he said.
According to minutes of the commission’s December meeting, Long said plans for a dog park would be considered.
