In sports: Host Oneonta State and King’s College split 10 matches, but the Red Dragons used three pins to earn a 27-16 non-conference wrestling victory Wednesday.

Ben Mikac (133 pounds), Dan Graff (157) and Chad Obzud (197) had the pins for O-State, which improved to 6-8 on the season. King’s is 4-8.

FRIDAY

Leatherstocking Corp., owner of the Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, has agreed to pay a $550,000 settlement in a federal class-action lawsuit brought by service workers, largely over the distribution of service-charge proceeds.

In sports: Sidney and South Kortright know exactly where they stand after winning key boys basketball games Thursday night.

Hunter-Tannersville, Margaretville and Stamford? Not so much.

Sidney clinched the No. 1 seed for the Midstate Athletic Conference 1-4 Tournament with a 56-37 rout of visiting Harpursville. The Warriors improved to 14-1 overall and 10-0 in the MAC with one league game remaining – Monday against visiting Deposit. Their victory Thursday closed out Unatego (11-4, 10-1), which beat Unadilla Valley, 61-54, in its MAC finale Thursday.
