Area man charged with reckless driving
A Burlington Flats man was charged with reckless driving and issued multiple other tickets after a traffic stop, Oneonta city police said.
Corey R. Cote, 30, was charged Tuesday with failure to comply, speed in zone and failing to stop at six stop signs, Lt. Douglas Brenner said Thursday.
Cote was accused of failing to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Hudson and Fair streets at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, and Cote failed to comply when police officer Jeffrey Gallusser used lights and siren to try to pull him over, Brenner said.
Cote continued to drive around the Hudson Street, Belmont Circle area, Brenner said, then went along Fair Street and eventually stopped on Lewis Street.
Cote was taken to the Oneonta police station for processing and released on $250 bail, pending a later court date, Brenner said.
